Association of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers

The Association of Naval Architects & Marine Engineers was established in 1993 with the objective of bringing the profession under one umbrella. It is emphasized for a reverine country like Bangladesh, water transport will continue to play a dominant role. Excellent ship design and shipbuilding must be achieved for making this mode modern, efficient and competitive. Naval architects and marine engineers must assume bigger and more responsible role in achieving these objectives. Adherence to professional ethics and standards has been considered to be the main element for attaining these objectives. The association has been endeavoring to expand and assimilate the knowledge and experience base in this sector and also to ensure adherence to the norms and principles in this discipline. The association is also working to promote the causes of water transport sector in the country.
